There are 3 new, 1 old and 1 book announcements,
1. Free clinical breast examination, Ultra-8 and The Pap smear for ladies below 40 years of age by National Cancer Society.
This will be on Friday, 20th April, starting 9.00 am. Transport will be provided if there is the sufficient no. of people registering. Please register with Mr. Subra.
2. Second Mandarin Sing Along Session.
This will be on Tuesday, 1st May (Labour Day), from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm at The Elderly Blind Centre. The fee is RM2.00 only. Please register with Mr. Lai Kok Keong at 227242576.
3. Seminar on Empowerment of Blind Workers and Entrepreneurs by SBM.
This will be from 11th – 13th May (Friday to Sunday) at The Hotel Plaza, Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur. Registration fee is RM50.00. For more info, please call Cik Fadzilah at 013-3406511.
4. AXA Smart Aid for the blind.
AXA Affin General Insurance in collaboration with MAB is launching the AXA Smart Aid for the blind. The information plan is on CD in English and Malay. You can collect the CD from the reception counter. For more info, please call The AXA Affin Customer Service at 03-21708282.
5. Here’s an English Braille book to read.
The title is Miles to go – Second journal of the walk by Richard Paul Evans in 2 volumes. This is an astonishing tale of life and death, love and second chance and why sometimes best way to heal your own suffering by helping to heal someone else’s suffering.
